The Tantalus from Roddy Scott
The Victorian Tantalus Nixie Clock.
An excellent example of the fine work by Roddy Scott, a Nixie Clock maker based in Ireland who hand makes all his clocks from just pieces of wood and brass, machining and carving each piece individually and not resting until the look and finish is a perfect match to the image in his head.
The clock features tube RGB lighting, custom LED Colon conversion, RGB dome lights. Switchable RGB lighting via a Frankenstein styled switch, elevated temperature sensor housing.
All operating parameters are fully user programmable.
Enabled for GPS and PIR controllers - 2 types of GPS modules are available - Standard GPS and GPS4, The clock will be supplied with purchaser's choice of GPS module and a standard PIR controller and an optional period extension power cord, please contact us for further details.
Distressed black acrylic painted wooden case with brass features and glass domes. Brass mounted bun style feet, brass inlays. All brass work has been chemically aged and has a deliberately hand fashioned look and requires no polishing. Polishing will remove the existing patina.
The Clock uses 6 original Tesla ZM104 nixue tubes and is Supplied with 1 extra spare tube.
