Jane Street MiSTer Retro Gaming Consoles
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
I was approached by Jane Street Capital in NY and asked if I could produce some retro gaming consoles that staff could use during breaks to let off a bit of steam, and also give them a rest from stocks, shares and everything else that goes with that sort of job!
I've built up a couple of retro gaming consoles before, using the MiSTer platform https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MiSTer It uses something called an FPGA where there is a programmable chip that can be programmed to act the same as an original 1980's processor - so the machine emulates the hardware of the original gaming platform, rather than a software emulation.
For this job, I thought it would be quite novel to try and build a system into an original Etch a Sketch game, they are pretty retro in their own right!

- CAD Design work for control panels.
- Metalwork / Case fabrication.
- Adaptation of exiting equipment.

A wonderful project to do - my only regret was not making one for myself!
