3D Printed Photos

Called a Lithophane, a photo is analysed by computer for bright and dark areas and that is then converted into various thicknesses that are then printed out on a 3D printer. When light is then shone through the print, your image then appears. Ideal if just placed on a windowsill and the daylight does the rest! The print takes between 4 - 8 hours to be produced on the machine depending on size!

A rather neat and novel way of displaying pictures that will never fade, and pretty well indistructible as they will not break or shatter if accidentally dropped on the floor.
