Ether MK II - One off Steampunk Clock
The 2nd in the 'Ether' Steampunk clocks, so called as the centerpiece is an old Ether temperature gauge once used in power stations and other heavy industrial applications.
Now set in a beautiful burl walnut case, various valves and coils added to the top and some very neat illumination features to both the valves and the Ether gauge. The clock uses 6 of the larger IN-8-2 Nixie tubes and they are sat inside a solid brass bezel. Either side of the bezel is a silver button, this changes the lighting effects for the Ether on the one side, and the animated valve lighting on the other side.
The clock is fully featured:
- 6 off IN-8-2 Nixie tubes
- Accurate to +/- 1 minute per year
- Easy set with just 2 buttons
- Tube life in excess of 20 years
- Battery backed, will retain time for up to 3 years
- Time and date display
- Programmable blanking / lighting
A one off piece of practical Steampunk art - measures approx 35cm wide, 30cm deep and 24cm tall
