MIP Series 100 Test Meter Clock 1953
Sort of a miniature Avo meter, and not quite a compact analogue multimeter! Made originaly by Measuring Insts (Pullin) of London, this is an MIP series 100 test meter.
For this conversion I've fitted 4 tiny NEC LD-866 Nixie tubes, once used in calculators. They then fit just under the handle, which offers protection for them. Would make a great display piece for a retired electrical engineer, perfect for a bookshelf or desk. Unfortunately the dial ( dated 1953! ) no longer functions, so I have just set it in a postion - rather than it displaying zero.
This is a one off item, so once sold I cannot make another.
- 4 off LD-866 Nixie tubes
- Accurate to +/- 1 minute per year
- Time and Date display
- Subtle RGB lighting effects ( can be turned off or programmed )
- Tube life good for 20 years
- Simple to set with just 2 buttons.
Measures 14cm wide, 10cm deep and 24cm to the top of the handle
